Rep. Buys previews some of the top issues on lawmakers’ agendas in 2017


The tone has been set for the 2017 legislative session. Lawmaker's number-one priority is to resolve McCleary, the 2012 state Supreme Court decision that ruled the state was failing to meet its constitutional obligation to amply fund K-12 education. Also on tap is working on a solution to the Hirst decision, which called the future of permit-exempt wells into question in Whatcom County and throughout the state. Watch as Rep.
